RULES ETC:

• The contest will be held on Wednesday nights, 8:00 pm, starting April 17th, 2019 and will run thru the end of November.
• It is free to compete, Anyone (under age comics will wait outside venue where they cannot enter).
• Let us know 3 Wednesdays in from April 17th to September you are available so we can try and place you. ( PLEASE notify us AHEAD of time of any schedule changes etc.)
• There are 5 rounds, the “1st rounds”, “Wild card Round”, “Quarterfinals” “Semi’s” and “Championship Final”
• Comics get 6 minutes in the first round.
• There are 8-10 comics per round.
• Comics advance by being on the top 4 of voting on their respective shows.
• Comics that do no win round 1, may advance if they are spots #5 or #6 and are also runners up if an advancing comic cancels or drops out.
• No-shows will be disqualified (emergencies happen contact us ASAP).
• All comics must be present by 7:40 pm on show day for order lottery. If anyone is late they will get the next OPEN NON -SELECTED SLOT, if available.
• In order to vote, audience must be present BEFORE the show host ENDS his intro set. and says “OK NO MORE BALLOTS”.
• Votes are tallied via numbered paper ballots. with Top 4 comics names & ranks by #, from 8-10 options).
• Points are earned via audience & Judge votes.
• Comics must email clear head or bust shot, and your IG or twitter ( for show posters, tagging and promo)

• The Prizes will range for the top 8 Comics, which are the remaining 8 in the Finals. The prizes will range from cash prizes, to paid stage time, a killer Trophy and to sit atop “the San Diego Throne of Jokes 2019! (“*** More details as our sponsorship team gather details.)
